  Going on Safari

A safari, to me, is so much more than just viewing the animals as you might in a zoo. You'll see that the sheer scale is unique for one thing – hearing a deep rumble in the distance and then realising that it is made by thousands of migrating wildebeast is another.
East Africa is unrivalled in its wealth of game, ornithological and marine wildlife in their natural environment. No two safaris are ever the same; you are guaranteed to see spectacular scenes that you will remember for years to come.

Our safaris last from two days to two weeks, with accommodation and meals in your choice of residence – from luxury Hilton-owned lodges to life under canvas.

There are many good safari lodges in Kenya, but we have found a few that offer that little bit more – Voi Wildlife Lodge and Simba Hill Lodge in Tsavo East game reserve are just two.

These lodges are situated in the heart of elephant country. Natural watering holes attract lions, cheetahs, buffalos, waterbuck and a variety of bird life from miles around.

Going on safari in our Kenyan wilderness doesn’t mean great discomfort; quite the opposite in fact. You can relax on the balcony overlooking endless savannah, sleep in the wild in a luxury open air ‘star-bed’, or take a refreshing dip in a natural rock pool as elephant herds pass in the distance.

The menus include a large variety of global cuisine served in a romantic Tembo open air restaurant.

Other facilties include a swimming pool, massage and treatment rooms, sauna and jacuzzi, a well-equipped gym, and badminton and volleyball courts.

The highlight at Voi Wildlife Lodge is a game observation terrace with a spectacular vantage over the watering hole, twenty-four hours a day.
